Learn the Right Way, Right from the Start.
Guitar Fundamentals is a supportive 8-week course designed specifically for complete beginners who want to build a solid, confident foundation on the guitar. Whether you’ve never picked up a guitar before or have only strummed a few chords, this class will guide you step-by-step through the essential techniques you need to get started the right way.
In this small-group setting (max 5 students), we’ll cover:

Proper posture and hand position

How to tune your instrument by ear and with a tuner

Reading tablature and chord diagrams

Playing common open-position chords

Strumming basics and rhythm
-
Simple songs and exercises to develop confidence and coordination
Our goal is to help you avoid bad habits and fast-track your ability to play music that excites you. You’ll also be introduced to musical vocabulary and concepts in a clear, friendly way—no prior knowledge or music reading required.
What Comes After Fundamentals?
This class is considered our Phase 1 guitar course. After completing it, students are invited to continue with Phase 2, where we build on the basics to help you comfortably play full songs—especially those “campfire classics” and familiar tunes you’ll be proud to share with friends and family.
From there, the full range of our classes becomes available to you. Whether you want to explore fingerstyle, blues, rock, songwriting, music theory, or jam with others, we’ll help you find the right next steps. We also offer personalized check-ins for students as they progress, helping you navigate your learning path and choose classes that align with your musical goals.

| Requirements: | Complete beginners only. You must be brand new to the guitar (or only know a couple simple chords) and ready to learn from ground zero.
